Our Process

First Meeting

Bring any information you have, including drawings, sketches, and if you already own property, bring the site address and a survey and elevation certificate, if you have them.

Second Meeting – Planning/Design

Bring your “Must Have” list. Any photos or articles of items that you might like in your new home.

At this meeting the general budget with allowance amounts will be established. Upon entering into a one-page agreement, the deposit will be collected. This is to cover the costs of design and surveying.

Final Pricing, and Contract Execution:

At this phase your drawings are complete, your final pricing is complete. We are now ready to execute your contract. Then we proceed to engineering and other documents needed for permit package.

Building Department & Governmental Agency Permitting:

The permitting package for your new home is submitted to the building department and any other governmental agency required for construction permitting.

The design phase:

The design phase begins when you start making selections. The timing of this is based on when your home will be coming out of permitting. You will meet with your design specialist to go over the following:

  • Construction meeting where you will meet with your team
  • Select colors & finish items with the design specialist
  • Visit the vendors to select & finalize your selections.
  • Select appliances
  • Meet with any other vendor or subcontractor requiring coordination.

 

Construction:

This is the most exciting stage! Here, the actual building of your home takes place. Construction has begun. During the construction phase, you are kept informed of progress through digital progress photos and correspondence.

Your active involvement will be needed for the following:

  • Framing Walk: We schedule a Framing walk and together we inspect the home prior to the drywall being installed.

 

Completion walk:

Before closing you will walk through your home with your Superintendent, room by room and ensure your home is move-in ready. A punch list of any items that need to be addressed will be written down to be completed as soon as possible.

Closing:

Last meeting in our office. We will go over all the paperwork and give you your keys to your new home.
